Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced its newest Wiley Digital Archives partner, the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers (RGS-IBG).
The partnership between Wiley and RGS-IBG, one of the world's largest and most active scholarly geographical societies, is a new endeavour in a continuing relationship that spans over 18 years and includes an extensive journals and books program.
Wiley and RGS-IBG will work together with academic advisors, fellows, members, archivists and librarians to identify and organise the content for digitisation. Several million images will be conserved and scanned, including manuscripts, maps, illustrations, monographs, field notes, meeting minutes, administrative records, proceedings, correspondence, ephemera and other archival content from among the extensive holdings at the RGS-IBG library and archives.
