Springer Nature and Qatar National Library have announced a three-year agreement that combines reading access and open access (OA) publishing in a single arrangement.
The Library is leading the first consortium in the Middle East to implement such an agreement, which has enabled researchers to access a variety of journals and publishing opportunities.
Researchers from participating consortium institutions have been able to access over 2,250 journals from Springer Nature imprints and have the chance to publish their research through open access in more than 1,850 Springer hybrid journals for free, allowing for a wider reach of current research findings and a greater benefit for both science and society.
