Digital Science has announced a collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology that will provide campus-wide access to the next evolution in linked scholarly information, Dimensions. With the Dimensions implementation, the university will support its researchers and academic management by providing a broader picture of the work they’re doing, a platform to explore the influence of past collaborations and an effective way to measure the real-world impact their research has made.
Dimensions is a dynamic, easy-to-use, linked research data platform that re-imagines the way research can be discovered, accessed, and analysed. Dimensions provides openly-available search and metrics for more than 102 million publications, nearly 5 million awarded grants, 38 million patents, 490 thousand clinical trials, and 430 thousand policy documents.
This partnership will allow researchers at Norwegian University of Science and Technology to access content from across the entire research landscape, enabling them to gain deeper insights into a topic or field. Additionally, the advanced analytical capabilities in Dimensions Analytics make it possible to compare and contrast data from research institutions around the world to map the competitive landscape, explore cross-disciplinary opportunities, and position their research program for the future.
