Scholarly publishing technology provider HighWire has announced that long-term client Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) has extended its agreement with HighWire until 2027. The move includes an upgrade of its current journal hosting; renewal of HighWire Submissions; and the addition of data-driven insight services provided through HighWire Analytics.
SNMMI is a nonprofit scientific and professional organisation that promotes the science, technology and practical application of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Its mission is to improve human health by advancing molecular imaging and therapy. HighWire has supported SNMMI’s publishing program for over a decade, hosting a number of its journals and providing additional manuscript submissions and peer review management via HighWire Submissions since 2003.
The addition of HighWire Analytics will empower SNMMI further by enabling it to see how its content performs in real-time, with intuitive visual analytics revealing the impact and usage of content, and helping to guide future decisions about its publishing program. This includes features such as HighWire’s patented rejected article tracker (showing where rejected articles end up and the amount of citations they get) and cohort comparison (to track the performance of competitors’ publishing programs).
