Four universities – Dartmouth College, Syracuse University, the University of Southern California and Flinders University – are among the latest higher-education institutions to drive research breakthroughs with ProQuest’s text and data mining (TDM) Studio solution.
The newly launched TDM Studio solution puts the power of TDM directly in the researcher’s hands. From initial idea to final output, it gives users access to industry-leading tools to help them make new connections and uncover career-defining outcomes. The solution unlocks a vast collection of current and historical ProQuest content (including news, journals, dissertations and theses, and primary sources) for TDM.
Dartmouth chose the TDM Studio solution for its versatility in offering tools for both beginner and expert users. At Syracuse, researchers are increasingly turning to the library for guidance on TDM. Sociologists at the University of Southern California have been using the TDM Studio solution to examine an incredibly relevant and important topic in global news: trends in protests over time. And at Flinders, the interest in the solution has already been overwhelming. TDM approaches open up new areas of scholarly enquiry. The introductory workshops Flinders scheduled attracted immediate attention and were booked in less than 24 hours.
