ResearchGate and Frontiers announce partnership to enhance journal presence and engagement -

In a move aimed at expanding the reach and engagement of open access journals, ResearchGate and Frontiers have joined forces in a new partnership. ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Frontiers, the sixth-largest and third most-cited publisher globally, announced the collaboration that will initially focus on 10 of Frontiers' open access journals.

Through ResearchGate's Journal Home offering, content from 10 Frontiers journals, including prestigious titles such as Frontiers in Medicine, Frontiers in Surgery, Frontiers in Oncology, and Frontiers in Energy Research, will be syndicated to ResearchGate. With more than 62,000 articles being made available, this collaboration aims to increase the visibility and readership of Frontiers' journals.

As part of the partnership, dedicated journal profiles will be created on ResearchGate, providing researchers with easy access to specific journal content. Moreover, the enhanced presence of the journals on ResearchGate's platform will benefit the highly relevant researcher audience actively engaged on the network. This increased visibility is expected to boost readership and engagement, as measured through COUNTER-compliant reporting.

Authors whose articles are included in the partnership will automatically have their content added to their publication pages on ResearchGate. This will give authors access to valuable statistics on the impact of their work and enable them to connect with readers more effectively. Additionally, researchers will have improved access to information on potential publishing opportunities across the participating journals.

The initial trial phase of the partnership will focus on 10 diverse journals, covering a broad range of disciplines. Given the extensive ResearchGate network, millions of authors and readers worldwide stand to benefit from this collaboration.

The collaboration between ResearchGate and Frontiers signifies a significant step forward in promoting open access publishing, expanding the visibility of scholarly content, and fostering engagement among the global research community.
