Frontiers, a prominent gold open access publisher, has announced its membership in the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers (STM). The move signifies a significant step in Frontiers' ongoing collaboration with STM, building upon their previous involvement in joint initiatives and working groups.
Over the years, Frontiers has actively participated in various STM initiatives, particularly in the area of research integrity. In the previous year, the publisher played a key role as a member of the working group on research integrity, collaborating with multiple publishers to develop new tools for detecting paper mills. Stephan Kuster, Head of Public Affairs at Frontiers, will serve as the publisher's main representative to STM.
