Karger Publishers, a leading authority in scientific publishing, has teamed up with Agência Bori, an influential Brazilian press service, to bridge the gap between science and media. This dynamic partnership, set to kick off in August 2023, aims to bolster the dissemination of selected Karger journal articles authored by Brazilians to a wider audience through Agência Bori's extensive network of over 2,600 registered journalists.
In an unprecedented move, Agência Bori will curate Karger's papers that hold journalistic significance and feature Brazilian authors. These chosen papers will be shared within Agência Bori's specialized community, ensuring that impactful scientific research finds its way into the hands of journalists eager to report on health-related topics. The collaboration marks a pioneering effort by Agência Bori to integrate scientific journalism and research promotion.
Agência Bori has perfected a meticulous process of monitoring, selecting, and translating Brazilian scientific research into a format that resonates with journalistic language. Over the past three years, this approach has facilitated the dissemination of more than 450 studies to the media.
The overarching goal of this partnership is to democratize scientific knowledge, making it accessible to a wider audience, while simultaneously amplifying the impact of Karger's published research. Approximately two to three papers per month will be strategically disseminated to the Brazilian press through Agência Bori's esteemed service.
This collaborative endeavor embodies a pioneering initiative at the intersection of science and media, promising to forge a more informed and engaged Brazilian society through the power of knowledge dissemination.
