This innovative integration introduces an intuitive GetFTR indicator that empowers researchers with seamless access to referenced works. Now, readers can effortlessly identify available cited articles with smart links for direct access, simplifying the research journey.
In 2022, IOP Publishing initially implemented GetFTR across all journal titles on IOPscience, providing researchers with a streamlined pathway to the Version of Record of the journal article. This integration facilitated real-time entitlement checks, eliminating the need for libraries and researchers to opt-in, register, or download additional software. GetFTR links are automatically embedded into existing resources, ensuring effortless access to research content.
With over 60 publishers and integrators now onboarded, supporting streamlined access to over 80 million research articles, GetFTR has become an integral component of the scholarly landscape. Currently, 60% of all scholarly content is accessible through GetFTR, underscoring its widespread adoption and impact.
