Elsevier to highlight AI and digital health transformation at 2024 Global Digital Health Summit in India -

Elsevier, a global leader in medical information and data analytics, has announced its participation in the 2024 Global Digital Health Summit (GDHS-24), scheduled to take place in Mumbai, India on October 4-5. This premier event will gather physicians, healthcare leaders, policymakers, and digital health companies from around the world to explore the latest advancements in digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and their impact on healthcare systems.

With a presence in India since 1996, Elsevier has been providing localized digital solutions and data-driven insights to support clinicians in delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. At the summit, Elsevier will showcase some of its key products, including ClinicalKey, a leading clinical decision support tool used by hospitals and medical schools, and ClinicalKey AI, a newly launched AI-powered search platform that provides physicians with quick and accurate clinical information through an advanced conversational interface.

India's healthcare system, serving a population of 1.4 billion, faces unique challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, healthcare workforce shortages, and significant urban-rural disparities. To address these issues, Elsevier is a key partner in the Digital Innovations & Interventions for Sustainable HealthTech Action (DIISHA), a public-private partnership aimed at improving rural healthcare. As part of this initiative, Elsevier will provide training to frontline healthcare workers, including Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), and deploy ClinicalPath Primary Care India, an AI-driven solution that will assist in patient screening and assessments in rural areas.

Through these efforts, Elsevier aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural healthcare access, empowering healthcare professionals across India and leveraging AI to improve patient care.
