ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and IOP Publishing (IOPP) have announced a significant expansion of their collaboration through the Journal Home initiative. This partnership now includes an additional 25 IOPP and partner titles, bringing the total number of journals featured to 75.
As part of this development, IOP Publishing will implement Journal Home’s new Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU) across all participating journals. This upgrade aims to enhance accessibility, visibility, and engagement for researchers publishing with IOPP. Articles will be shared on researchers’ ResearchGate profiles, providing unique data on readership, citations, and sharing activity.
The OAAU will enable IOPP to identify researchers eligible to publish open access through their institutional agreements by analyzing publishing history and research areas. It will also facilitate tailored communication, informing researchers about their eligibility to publish in relevant journals. This initiative includes detailed reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts, spanning the publishing journey from readership to authorship.
This expanded collaboration highlights IOP Publishing’s commitment to advancing open access and increasing the visibility of research in the physical sciences. By utilizing ResearchGate’s platform, IOPP aims to empower researchers with greater exposure and insights, fostering a more accessible and interconnected academic publishing ecosystem.
