ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Taylor & Francis, a leading academic publisher, have expanded their Journal Home partnership, now covering 595 journals. This growth also activates the pioneering Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU) across all included journals and their open access (OA) agreements.
The expanded collaboration will enable researchers to more easily discover OA funding opportunities available through Taylor & Francis agreements. In addition to this, the partnership now includes 178 more Taylor & Francis titles, offering unique journal profiles, enhanced discoverability, and streamlined access on the ResearchGate platform.
The initial 417 titles launched on Journal Home in 2024 saw impressive results, with over 1.45 million researchers engaging with the journals, leading to more than 6.6 million reads of 140,000 articles. The newly added journals will offer broader coverage across diverse subject areas, benefiting ResearchGate’s 25+ million users. This engagement continues to drive authorship, with over 2,400 authors interacting with Taylor & Francis journals on Journal Home before submitting their articles, resulting in successful publications.
The activation of the OAAU will further enhance the visibility of OA funding opportunities for researchers, making it easier for them to confirm their eligibility and publish in relevant journals. The initiative will help increase the impact of research by promoting greater adoption of OA publishing and supporting the global push for more accessible scientific knowledge.
