Wolters Kluwer Health is integrating UpToDate® with Microsoft Copilot Studio’s healthcare agent service, enabling healthcare organizations to deploy generative AI-powered clinical decision support at the point of care. This collaboration aims to streamline clinician workflows by providing real-time, patient-specific, evidence-based content from UpToDate within ambient and voice-enabled clinical documentation tools, including Microsoft Dragon Copilot.
UpToDate is used by over three million clinicians worldwide and trusted by major healthcare systems for its expert-driven recommendations. By integrating with Microsoft’s healthcare agent service, UpToDate content will become accessible within AI-powered workflows, helping clinicians retrieve relevant, evidence-based insights without disrupting their patient interactions.
Microsoft’s healthcare agent service allows healthcare organizations to build generative AI solutions with pre-built healthcare intelligence, secure integrations, and extensibility through plugins. The first joint project will focus on integrating real-time UpToDate content within Microsoft Dragon Copilot, supporting clinical decisions in ambient listening and voice-enabled documentation workflows.
