IOP Publishing and Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (SLAB) have launched AI for Science, a diamond open-access journal dedicated to AI-driven research in applied physics, materials science, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
AI for Science responds to the rapid expansion of AI and machine learning in scientific research. The journal will publish interdisciplinary studies, including long-form reviews and expert perspectives. All publication costs are covered by SLAB, ensuring accessibility to global researchers.
As part of IOP Publishing’s growing portfolio, AI for Science strengthens open-access initiatives and supports AI’s transformative role in research methodologies and technological advancements.
