Global research publisher Springer Nature is expanding its support for Simon Fraser University’s Community Scholars Program (CSP), pledging 500 additional seats per year for under-resourced researchers, totaling 2,000 complimentary seats.
The CSP provides access to over 20,000 titles at no cost to researchers working on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) -related issues such as poverty alleviation, food security, and environmental conservation. Springer Nature has supported the CSP since its inception in 2017 and will extend access to its extensive journal and e-book collections.
As CSP expands through partnerships with other university libraries across Canada, Springer Nature’s commitment ensures greater access to scholarly content for community-based researchers. The initiative enhances research capabilities and supports knowledge-driven solutions for societal challenges.
