Thieme partners with ChronosHub to streamline author licensing and billing -

Medical and science publisher Thieme has signed a new agreement with ChronosHub to simplify license management and author billing following journal article acceptance. The move is part of Thieme’s broader strategy to enhance transparency and efficiency in publishing.

Thieme will adopt ChronosHub’s integrated License Management and Billing of Author Charges modules, enabling authors to manage license selection, sign agreements, and process payments in one platform. The centralized setup eliminates the need for multiple systems, easing workflows for authors and institutional stakeholders.

Institutions and consortia will gain access to ChronosHub dashboards for monitoring and approval, helping standardize publishing support services.

The partnership supports its open access objectives by allowing authors to make informed publishing decisions and improving visibility into funding options. ChronosHub’s tools are designed to facilitate transparent, automated processes around licensing, charges, and funder compliance.

The transition to ChronosHub’s platform is scheduled to occur later this year.
