MIT Press journals have secured top rankings in the 2024 Journal Citation Reports, leading three separate categories. The Transactions of the Association for Computational Linguistics topped both the Linguistics and Language & Linguistics categories, while International Security ranked first in International Relations.
Among newer titles, the Harvard Data Science Review received its first impact factor this year, 2.5, placing it in the top journals in the Statistics & Probability category.
MIT Press also noted that 13 of its journals were placed in the top quartile across various academic disciplines, reflecting consistent citation growth and editorial impact. MIT Press has attributed the results to the sustained work of editorial teams and evolving strategies in scholarly publishing.
The 2024 results follow a trend of growing engagement with MIT Press journals, especially in linguistics, political science, cognitive science, and interdisciplinary studies.
