The British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) has expanded its partnership with ScienceOpen to include complete publishing services for Shushruta Journal of Health Policy & Opinion and The Physician journals. Previously limited to indexing and discovery, the collaboration now includes manuscript submission, peer review management, and full-text open access hosting.
The transition enables BAPIO to integrate its publishing workflows into ScienceOpen’s infrastructure, which offers features such as DOI registration, ORCID integration, metadata delivery to indexing services, and long-term archiving. Both journals are now fully accessible on ScienceOpen’s platform, which hosts over 100 million research records.
BAPIO’s journals focus on health policy, clinical innovation, and global health equity, particularly supporting underrepresented voices and bridging academic and clinical practice. The organization has indexed over 300 articles on the platform, receiving thousands of views and community engagement.
ScienceOpen will continue to support BAPIO’s publishing goals through communication, analytics, and community engagement tools. The partnership reflects both organizations’ commitment to open access, diversity, and global knowledge dissemination.
