RSNA launches AI challenge for intracranial aneurysm detection -

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has launched the 2025 RSNA Intracranial Aneurysm Detection AI Challenge, aimed at developing machine learning models to detect and localize aneurysms using multiple medical imaging modalities.

Organized in collaboration with American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR), and Society of Neurointerventional Surgery (SNIS), the challenge focuses on AI-assisted detection and localization of intracranial aneurysms. Participants will detect aneurysms across 13 anatomical locations using data annotated by more than 60 expert radiologists. A subset of MRI studies includes 3D vascular segmentations for enhanced anatomical context.

Conducted on the Kaggle platform, the competition offers $50,000 in total prize money and runs through October 14. Winning models will be announced in November and featured at RSNA 2025 in Chicago.
