The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has announced its partnership with the China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) and Tsinghua University (THU) to publish Civil Engineering Sciences as a Science Partner Journal.
Civil Engineering Sciences aims to advance innovation and reform in civil engineering by publishing interdisciplinary research on climate-resilient infrastructure, sustainability in megaprojects, and scientific breakthroughs influencing the built environment. Professors Dongping Fang from Tsinghua University and Masayoshi Nakashima from Kyoto University will lead the journal’s editorial direction.
The journal is currently open for submissions via Editorial Manager and will operate under a Creative Commons Attribution (CCBY) license, with continuous publication. As an open-access title, it will maintain editorial independence while adhering to rigorous peer review standards. All published articles will be freely available online.
This new addition expands the Science Partner Journal portfolio’s coverage of disciplines and reflects AAAS’s continued efforts to collaborate with international associations prioritizing high-quality, accessible scientific research.
