Wolters Kluwer Health has introduced two digital tools—the Lippincott Author Portal and the Journal Recommender—aimed at improving the efficiency of medical research publication and enhancing the dissemination of scholarly work.
These tools are integrated into the Lippincott platform and are designed to simplify the workflow for authors. The Lippincott Author Portal provides support throughout the manuscript preparation and submission process, offering features such as manuscript assistance, step-by-step guidance, publishing process guidance, and post-publication promotion tools. Authors are also given access to tools that generate infographics and videos, enabling broader visibility for their published research.
The Journal Recommender employs machine learning algorithms to assist authors in identifying the most appropriate journals for submission. By analyzing abstracts, full manuscripts, keywords, and related subject areas, the tool aims to reduce submission errors and improve the likelihood of acceptance. It also provides journal-level data, including Impact Factor and indexing information, to support informed decision-making.
In parallel, Wolters Kluwer offers a suite of editorial services designed to assist researchers in preparing manuscripts for submission. These services include language and grammar editing, translation support, and customized promotion services tailored to specific author requirements.
The Lippincott publishing portfolio encompasses nearly 400 indexed journals and includes an increasing number of open access titles. This expansion supports broader distribution, potentially increasing download rates and citation impact for contributing authors.
