The Canadian Research Knowledge Network has announced that the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) has joined the ORCID Canada Consortium, becoming the first Université du Québec institution to participate. The national initiative includes more than 50 Canadian universities, research institutions, and funding agencies.
INRS will integrate ORCID services to better capture and promote faculty community achievements, enhancing institutional visibility. The university comprises five research and training centers in Québec City, Montréal, Laval, Varennes, and Charlevoix, with focus areas including environmental sciences, telecommunications, urban studies, biotechnology, and rural development. Its community includes around 1,500 students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and staff.
