Le Moyne College partners with EBSCO to implement FOLIO -

Le Moyne College, a Jesuit liberal arts institution, is preparing to transition its Noreen Reale Falcone Library to the FOLIO library services platform with implementation support from EBSCO Information Services. The migration from its current Sierra system is scheduled for completion in May 2026.

The initiative reflects the library’s commitment to openness, collaboration, and sustainability, aligning with its mission to advance inquiry, lifelong learning, and equitable access to resources in an evolving information environment. The adoption of FOLIO is seen as a step toward building a more flexible and user-centered infrastructure designed to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff while ensuring long-term sustainability.

As part of the project, the FOLIO system will be integrated with EBSCO Discovery Service, OpenAthens, Locate, and MARC Update services. This combination is expected to improve authentication, streamline metadata workflows, and enhance the overall accessibility of library resources.

The implementation illustrates how community-driven, open-source solutions can serve institutions of varying sizes. By linking FOLIO with discovery and workflow tools, Le Moyne is working to create a more responsive and connected library environment that supports its academic community.
