Wolters Kluwer showcases UpToDate Expert AI and workflow innovations at HLTH 2025 -

Wolters Kluwer Health has presented its UpToDate Expert AI and new workflow solutions at HLTH 2025 to demonstrate the future of clinical decision support.

The company featured its recently launched UpToDate Expert AI at booth #3218, where attendees can view demonstrations of its capabilities. The solution has been developed to provide healthcare organizations with responsible, evidence-based AI, UpToDate Expert AI that supports clinical workflows and enhances decision-making through clinical intelligence. Wolters Kluwer Health also highlighted additional innovations designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and trust across the care continuum.

The organization has announced the launch of UpToDate Pro Plus, which adds Expert AI to the existing UpToDate Pro platform to extend generative AI capabilities to students, residents, and clinicians in group practices. These solutions, built on Wolters Kluwer’s decade of AI expertise and domain knowledge, have been developed to enable faster, more informed decisions using verified medical content.

Greg Samios, Chief Executive Officer, Wolters Kluwer Health, noted that UpToDate Expert AI is being adopted across 70% of the company’s largest enterprise health systems. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with Wolters Kluwer’s long-standing focus on delivering reliable, transparent information integrated directly into clinical workflows. The company’s network of over 7,600 expert contributors underpins the platform’s evidence-based recommendations and clinical accuracy.

Attendees at HLTH 2025 have been invited to view demonstrations of UpToDate Expert AI illustrating how its generative responses are based on validated evidence and expert review. The demonstrations will show how outputs remain aligned with established clinical standards.

Wolters Kluwer is also exhibiting clinical decision support tools that integrate directly into healthcare workflows, including UpToDate patient education within Epic workflow, UpToDate Connect for digital health platforms, and UpToDate for retail pharmacies.

A report by research and advisory firm Outsell, Inc. has assessed UpToDate Expert AI as a significant advancement in clinical decision support, describing it as a solution that provides transparent, trustworthy AI grounded in real workflows. The report has noted that the tool draws exclusively from UpToDate’s peer-reviewed, evidence-based content, ensuring that each response is supported by clear reasoning, assumptions, and citations.
