ResearchGate and International Scientific Information Inc. (ISI) have announced a new Journal Home partnership covering ISI’s entire portfolio of open access journals in medicine and healthcare. The agreement will extend the reach of ISI titles on the ResearchGate platform, increasing discoverability and author engagement across the global research community.
Founded in 2002, ISI publishes a range of open access journals that connect Clinical Medicine and related disciplines. Its flagship title, Medical Science Monitor, focuses on Clinical Medicine, Epidemiology, Population Studies, Product Investigations, Laboratory Techniques Development, Diagnostics, and Medical Technology, while The American Journal of Case Reports—established in 1999—was among the first journals dedicated to medical case reports. The partnership adds these and three other ISI titles to ResearchGate’s Journal Home program.
Through the integration, ISI journals will gain a broader audience among the more than 25 million researchers using ResearchGate to share and discover scholarly content. Participating journals will benefit from enhanced visibility through branded journal profiles, automated article uploads to author profiles, and data insights on readership and citation activity. The collaboration is intended to increase article usage, citations, and author diversity by connecting ISI’s publications directly with active research networks in the medical and health sciences.
The partnership also strengthens ISI’s global presence by linking its journals to ResearchGate’s integrated discovery and community tools, enabling researchers to engage with published work throughout the research and publishing cycle. For ResearchGate, the agreement adds to the expanding roster of publishers joining the Journal Home initiative to advance open research and collaboration.
The partnership positions ISI’s journals to leverage ResearchGate’s network for increased visibility, engagement, and impact while advancing the shared goal of expanding open access to scientific knowledge worldwide.
