EIFL has renewed its agreement with Taylor & Francis for a further three years, extending the partnership through December 31, 2028. The renewed agreement includes discounted access to journals as well as waived and discounted article processing charges (APCs) for authors in eligible countries.
Under the agreement, libraries in 11 EIFL partner countries are eligible for discounted access to 2,001 journals across science, technology, social sciences, humanities, and medical disciplines. Access includes Taylor & Francis Science & Technology and Social Science & Humanities journal collections, along with medical content available through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) collection.
The countries eligible for discounted access include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Moldova, Myanmar, North Macedonia, Palestine, and Ukraine.
The agreement also supports open access publishing by waiving article processing charges for corresponding authors from six EIFL partner countries publishing in Taylor & Francis fully open access journals. These countries include Congo, Laos, Malawi, Myanmar, Uganda, and Ukraine.
In addition, corresponding authors from 26 EIFL partner countries are eligible for discounted article processing charges when publishing in Taylor & Francis fully open access journals. Eligible countries span Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, reflecting EIFL’s focus on improving access to scholarly publications across lower- and middle-income regions.
