IOP Publishing (IOPP) and Tsinghua University are organizing a series of events to mark the 100th anniversary of the university’s Department of Physics.
The program includes the IOP China Scientific Advisory Board Annual Gathering and a one-day international workshop on Progress in Quantum and Machine Learning (PQML). The events will bring researchers together in Beijing to discuss developments in quantum science, artificial intelligence, and computational physics.
The event will feature keynote presentations and panel discussions with researchers from institutions across China, Europe, and the United Kingdom, including universities, research institutes, and industry organizations.
Founded in 1926, Tsinghua University’s Department of Physics has contributed to China’s scientific and technological development and conducts research in areas including condensed matter physics, quantum information science, astrophysics, and nuclear physics.
A dedicated page has been created to present centenary activities and research outputs from the department, highlighting scientific achievements and ongoing research contributions.
