Research Solutions, Inc. has announced the launch of Article Galaxy MCP, an integration intended to allow AI agents and developer tools to search scientific literature, check access rights, and acquire articles without switching context. The new integration reportedly places the system inside AI environments already used by researchers.
According to the release, Article Galaxy MCP connects to ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and other model context protocol-compatible tools. The company revealed the integration gives researchers and AI agents the ability to search literature, act on access rights information, and use Article Galaxy’s document acquisition and rights management infrastructure.
For organizations with existing Article Galaxy libraries, the integration makes that content available inside AI workflows. According to Research Solutions, Article Galaxy MCP supports End-to-End Literature Acquisition, AI Rights Management covering open access status, subscription access, rental availability, AI rights, etc. According to the company, Article Galaxy MCP is one of four parts of its agentic research toolkit, alongside the Scite API, Scite MCP, and Article Galaxy API.
According to Research Solutions, the integration is available immediately and that organizations can connect existing Article Galaxy libraries or import literature collections into Article Galaxy for model context protocol access.
