Safer Care Victoria selects EBSCO to support Clinicians Health Channel -

Safer Care Victoria has selected EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) to provide resources and technology solutions for the Clinicians Health Channel (CHC), an online portal offering healthcare professionals access to evidence‑based clinical information. The agreement, beginning July 1, 2026, follows a competitive tender process. It includes a suite of resources, discovery tools, authentication services, and managed support designed to improve access to clinical content across Victoria.

According to Brett Wilson, Vice President of Sales for EBSCO Oceania, the contract represents an opportunity to strengthen equitable access to trusted information for public healthcare professionals in the state. He noted that the arrangement reflects a comprehensive approach, combining secure access, discovery, clinical decision support, and managed services to ensure consistent support for clinicians.

Under the agreement, EBSCO will provide services such as EBSCO Discovery Service, OpenAthens authentication, DynaMed, CINAHL Ultimate, APA PsycInfo, and a 12‑month trial of Dyna AI. The package also includes managed services, with year‑round help desk support, publisher liaison, licensing and compliance management, and communications assistance.

The initiative is intended to deliver scalable, high‑quality clinical resources tailored to healthcare professionals’ needs, supporting evidence‑based decision‑making and patient care outcomes. It also builds on EBSCO’s ongoing collaboration with Australian state health organizations to provide reliable and accessible information resources.
