ASHA Journals joins GetFTR to enhance access to communication sciences research -

ASHA Journals has joined Get Full Text Research (GetFTR), expanding the network of publishers working to connect research discovery directly to trusted full text.

Through the partnership, researchers and practitioners will be able to access ASHA Journal content more easily via a range of research and discovery tools integrated with GetFTR, including Scopus, Scite, Web of Science, and CABI Digital Library, as well as through the GetFTR Browser Extension.

GetFTR indicators signal access to the version of record, whether available through subscription, open access, or free‑to‑read content. This feature is intended to reduce barriers and streamline access to trusted material.

ASHA Journals publishes five peer‑reviewed titles in communication sciences and disorders, audiology, and speech‑language pathology. The journals aim to disseminate research findings, theoretical advances, and clinical knowledge, while supporting knowledge translation across the field.

Michael Cannon, Senior Director of Serial Publications and Editorial Services at ASHA, stated that the partnership supports the organization’s commitment to advancing research and clinical practice. He noted that joining GetFTR helps researchers, clinicians, and students reach trusted content more quickly and efficiently.

Dianne Benham, Product Director at GetFTR, commented that ASHA Journals’ focus on disseminating research and supporting its community makes it a strong addition to the initiative. She indicated that the collaboration will help ensure researchers and professionals are guided seamlessly from discovery to full text.
