ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and the International Institute of Anticancer Research (IIAR) have announced an expansion of their Journal Home partnership through the activation of the Community Engagement Upgrade (CEU) across all four of IIAR’s journals. The move marks the beginning of a second year of collaboration and underscores IIAR’s commitment to extending the reach and impact of oncology research.
During the first year of partnership, all four IIAR journals were onboarded to Journal Home, gaining access to ResearchGate’s network of more than 25 million active researcher members. The new agreement introduces the CEU across IIAR’s portfolio of open access and hybrid journals. This upgrade provides immediate sharing of journal content on ResearchGate, boosting readership, usage, and discoverability among global research communities. It also ensures continuous engagement with researchers throughout the publishing cycle, dedicated Journal Profiles highlighting scope and identity, and automatic integration of published articles into author profiles, offering insights into readership, sharing, and citation activity.
The CEU further enhances opportunities for IIAR’s editorial teams by offering advanced analytics and demographic data to better understand their readership, tools to curate and promote selected articles through Editor Picks, and new capabilities to strengthen relationships with authors and the wider research community.
Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate, highlighted that the partnership had already helped IIAR’s journals expand their visibility and readership. She added that the CEU would provide editorial teams with powerful new tools to connect with the global cancer research community, build deeper relationships with authors, and ensure that critical oncology research reached the researchers who needed it most.
