EIFL has renewed its agreement with Royal Society Publishing for another three years, extending through December 2029. The agreement provides EIFL partner countries with free or discounted access to eight high‑impact journals in the physical and biological sciences, along with waived Article Processing Charges (APCs) for open access publishing in both fully open access and hybrid journals.
• Free access is available to partner countries including Armenia, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya and others.
• Discounted access is available to Albania, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Estonia, Fiji and others.
Authors from 32 EIFL partner countries are eligible to publish open access without APCs in Royal Society Publishing’s two fully open access journals — Open Biology and Royal Society Open Science — as well as in eight hybrid journals:
• Biology Letters
• Journal of the Royal Society Interface
• Interface Focus
• Notes and Records
• Proceedings A
• Proceedings B
• Philosophical Transactions A
• Philosophical Transactions B
Corresponding authors from countries including Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Botswana and others are eligible for waived APCs under this agreement.
