EBSCO and IHCNO collaborate to strengthen Home Care Nursing standards -

EBSCO Clinical Decisions has announced a partnership with the International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) to enhance clinical practice guidelines for home‑based nursing. The collaboration integrates IHCNO’s expert validation into EBSCO’s Dynamic Health platform, providing clinicians with evidence‑based guidance at the point of care.

The Dynamic Health tool is designed to support nurses and allied health professionals in mastering essential skills, answering clinical questions quickly, and fostering evidence‑based practice. Through this initiative, home care clinicians gain access to IHCNO‑validated knowledge, helping standardize care and improve patient safety.

The collaboration focuses on three areas:

• Rigorous Clinical Validation: IHCNO experts will annually review essential nursing skills within Dynamic Health’s home care collection, ensuring ongoing quality.

• Targeted Home Care Competencies: The initial rollout prioritizes high‑stakes procedures specific to home settings, such as managing hypoglycemia in unconscious adults and inserting indwelling urinary catheters.

• Workflow Integration and Intelligent Search: Verified resources are designed to fit seamlessly into clinical workflows, with EBSCO’s Dyna AI tool enabling rapid access to IHCNO‑validated skills.

By combining EBSCO’s knowledge repository with IHCNO’s clinical expertise, the partnership aims to scale evidence‑based care across the home health sector and strengthen nursing standards in diverse care environments.
