ResearchGate and ASTM International launch Journal Home partnership -

ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and ASTM International, a global standards organization and publisher of peer‑reviewed technical research, have announced a new Journal Home partnership. The collaboration is intended to increase the visibility and discoverability of open access content from five ASTM International hybrid journals, supporting broader readership and engagement across applied research communities.

Through Journal Home, open access articles from ASTM International journals will be made available directly to ResearchGate’s global community of more than 25 million researchers. The journals cover areas including testing and evaluation, materials performance, geotechnical and civil engineering, and smart and sustainable manufacturing.

The partnership is expected to enhance authorship growth by promoting ASTM International journals to relevant researchers, increase article usage by delivering open access content directly to targeted communities, and improve journal visibility through dedicated profiles on ResearchGate. Published articles will also be automatically added to author profiles, helping researchers increase the visibility of their work.

Todd Reitzel, Director of Books and Journals at ASTM International, explained that the initiative is intended to increase the visibility and impact of applied research published in the organization’s journals. He noted that the partnership would help connect authors’ work with researchers and communities who can apply it in their own fields.

Robyn Mugridge, Head of Partnership Development at ResearchGate, stated that Journal Home is designed to help publishers build visibility, usage, and authorship by connecting journals with researchers most likely to engage with them. She emphasized that ASTM International publishes research supporting progress across a wide range of applied scientific and technical fields, and the partnership would help its journals reach new and existing audiences.

The collaboration reflects a shared focus on strengthening the reach and impact of applied research by connecting open access content with global research communities.
