Elsevier adds JAMA Network journal content to ClinicalKey AI -

Elsevier has entered into a strategic content agreement with the JAMA Network to make full-text articles and visuals from 13 JAMA Network journals available as sources for responses generated through ClinicalKey AI, Elsevier’s clinical AI workspace.

The agreement covers content from JAMA, JAMA Network Open, and 11 specialty journals: JAMA Cardiology, JAMA Dermatology, JAMA Health Forum, JAMA Internal Medicine, JAMA Neurology, JAMA Oncology, JAMA Ophthalmology, JAMA Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, JAMA Pediatrics, JAMA Psychiatry, and JAMA Surgery.

According to Elsevier, the addition of these journals expands the content available through ClinicalKey AI, which already includes journals and medical society publications from around the world. The company said clinicians will have access to full-text content from more than half of the world’s top 100 medical journals through the platform.

ClinicalKey AI is designed to provide answers based on peer-reviewed and evidence-based sources while linking users to the full-text articles supporting those responses. The companies said the agreement is intended to help clinicians access published evidence as they manage increasing volumes of medical literature and limited time for reviewing research.

ClinicalKey AI is used by health systems that require evidence-based content and enterprise technology. The platform supports API-based integrations with existing workflow tools and includes privacy and security controls for HIPAA-compliant use in North America. Other capabilities include a deep research assistant for more detailed exploration of clinical topics, as well as multilingual support and prompt sharing.

Following Elsevier’s acquisition of WellSheet, ClinicalKey AI is also expected to gain deeper integration with hospital electronic health record systems. The planned integration is intended to provide clinicians with patient context alongside clinical information.

Content from the JAMA Network journals is currently available to ClinicalKey AI customers.
