Research Solutions integrates Scite and Article Galaxy with Microsoft Copilot -

Research Solutions has announced the integration of its Scite and Article Galaxy platforms with Microsoft Copilot, enabling users to search, evaluate, and access scientific literature directly within Microsoft 365.

The integrations combine evidence discovery and literature access management in a single workflow. Scite helps users assess scientific findings through peer-reviewed research and citation analysis, while Article Galaxy provides information on content availability, licensing rights, access options, and acquisition costs. Both integrations operate within Microsoft Copilot's existing security and compliance environment.

Scite brings its Smart Citations technology to Microsoft Copilot, enabling users to evaluate how research findings are supported, challenged, or referenced across the scholarly literature. The platform covers peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, preprints, patents, clinical trials, research grants, and selected regulatory and safety information.

Through the integration, users can:

• Evaluate claims in documents, presentations, and emails against published research.

• Incorporate scholarly evidence into reports generated with Copilot's Researcher agent.

• Access scientific context alongside organizational content to support informed decision-making.

Article Galaxy enables users to determine whether articles are available through existing subscriptions, identify acquisition costs, and review permitted reuse rights. The platform also provides article-level information on rights related to generative AI and text and data mining.

Key capabilities include:

• Checking article availability, access options, and pricing using a DOI.

• Accessing available full-text articles and Smart Citation information.

• Reviewing reuse rights for specific use cases, including AI-related applications.

• Tracking article orders, account activity, and usage quotas.

The integrations extend Research Solutions' broader AI connectivity strategy, which already links Scite with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor. The addition of Microsoft Copilot expands access to the company's research and content-access tools within enterprise and academic environments.

The Scite and Article Galaxy integrations are available through Microsoft Marketplace.
