1science, a provider of software tools and analytics to accelerate the transition to open access, has announced the appointment of Scientific Knowledge Services (SKS) as its sales agent in Central and Eastern Europe. Scientific Knowledge Services will be responsible for sales of 1science's integrated solution that supports academic libraries in their uptake of open access, optimises their subscriptions management, and increases the visibility of their universities' scholarly production.
This agreement will expand 1science's market visibility and presence in Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina; all sales and inquiries will be handled by SKS. The deal covers oaFindr, which has close to 20 million links to full-text scholarly papers and is the largest source of open access (OA) papers strictly published in peer-reviewed journals.
Other products that will be distributed by SKS include oaFigr, which provides unique insight into scholarly journals subscription management, and oaFoldr, which largely accelerates the uploading of data into an institutional repository.
