4open, the multidisciplinary, open access journal that publishes all types of articles, from different fields in natural sciences, technology, and medicine, has announced a new partnership with SciencePOD to make the journal’s topical scientific content available to a wider audience.
‘Key summaries’ is a series of easy to understand free articles aimed at non-experts written by SciencePOD writers. These short, digestible summaries - taken from published 4open papers - highlight and present ideas in a clear, concise and compelling way. Readers do not therefore have to be a specialist to access and understand the latest topics featured in 4open scholarly articles. If interested, readers can go on to access the full article text at the end of each featured ‘Key summaries’ article.
According to Claus Roll, Senior Editor Journals at EDP Sciences, this partnership aims to bring the latest findings from all branches of science to as wide an audience as possible. 'Key summaries' will be provided by the scientific writers at SciencePOD and will describe complex questions and interactions and summarise key findings. This will help to improve the impact of these findings for the benefit of scientists, policy makers as well as the general public interested in science.
