ACM expands speaker lineup for AI Leadership Summit -

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) has announced eight additional speakers for its inaugural AI Leadership Summit, scheduled to take place August 30–September 2, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Summit will bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to examine critical issues surrounding artificial intelligence. Topics will include governance of autonomous systems, workforce transformation, scientific discovery, and the evolving role of human creativity.

The newly added speakers, bringing a wide range of expertise, are Virginia Dignum, Maria Giulia Dondero, Ahmed Hassan, Gabriela Ramos, Jaime Teevan, Kristen Yeon‑Ji Yun, Ellen Zegura, and Yi Zeng.

These speakers will join an existing lineup that includes ACM A.M. Turing Award laureates Andrew Barto and Yann LeCun, robotics pioneer Rodney Brooks, United Nations Envoy on Technology Amandeep Singh Gill, ACM Prize in Computing recipient Amanda Randles, Adobe Research scientist Aaron Hertzmann, Disney Chief Scientist Markus Gross, Microsoft AI Frontiers Lab leader Ece Kamar, and other experts.

The program will also feature the Doctoral Consortium: Future Leaders of AI, designed to connect emerging researchers with established leaders. More than 140 doctoral students have applied to participate.

ACM President Elisa Bertino, who chairs the Summit’s Organizing Committee, stated that the event was created to bring together perspectives from research, industry, government, education, and civil society to foster dialogue on the technologies, policies, and decisions shaping the future of AI.

In addition to keynote addresses and panel discussions, the Summit will include peer‑reviewed research presentations highlighting new advances in AI. Registration is open, with full details available at aisummit.acm.org.
