Altmetric and OECD announce new pilot project to track impact and reach of over 120,000 OECD research outputs -

Data science company Altmetric has announced a new pilot project with The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to track and report on the impact of over 120,000 articles, chapters, books, papers, tables, charts and statistical datasets in the OECD iLibrary.

The OECD seeks to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world, and provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems.

Initially the OECD will be adopting the Altmetric Explorer for Institutions platform to analyse the attention data internally, and hope to potentially later deploy Altmetric badges, which will provide visitors an at-a-glance indicator of the attention an item has received, across the OECD iLibrary dissemination platform.

In addition to hosting OECD’s content, the iLibrary platform also contains content published by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), the OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and the International Transport Forum (ITF).

The pilot is running from now until September 2017.
