Wolters Kluwer Health has announced a new collaboration with AME Publishing Company, an Open Access publisher of medical journals and books based in Hong Kong, China. The organizations will work together to make AME’s growing set of journals available to more researchers and clinicians worldwide, with the goal of broadening access to peer-reviewed medical research and supporting the advancement of healthcare knowledge globally.
Stephen D. Wang, Founder & CEO of AME Publishing Company, stated that integrating AME’s titles into Wolters Kluwer Health’s platforms is intended to increase the visibility and accessibility of medical research for authors, researchers, and patients. He noted that 34 of AME’s Open Access journals have Impact Factors, and he pointed to the importance of making global medical data available where and when it is most useful.
Rafael Sidi, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Health Research at Wolters Kluwer Health, described the collaboration as part of the company’s Open Access expansion strategy aimed at advancing medical innovation and improving patient outcomes internationally. He added that adding AME’s journals to Wolters Kluwer’s global platforms is expected to increase the visibility of critical research and provide researchers with broader reach and recognition.
As part of the collaboration, 49 Open Access journals published by AME will be available on Wolters Kluwer Health’s Lippincott and Ovid platforms. Collectively, these journals publish more than 5,000 medical articles per year, contributing a substantial volume of timely, peer-reviewed research to the international medical community.
The Lippincott portfolio of medical and scientific journals includes nearly 400 indexed titles and offers visibility and credibility for healthcare researchers and practitioners worldwide.
