American Physiological Society and Wiley relaunch Comprehensive Physiology with focus on interorgan communication -

The American Physiological Society (APS) and Wiley have announced the relaunch of Comprehensive Physiology, now with a renewed focus on interorgan communication. This transformation marks an exciting new direction for the journal, which will serve as a premier platform for research and editorial content on how organs interact in health and disease. The journal is now open for submissions, with the first issue set to be published online in January 2025, ahead of its inaugural bi-monthly issue in February 2025.

Dr. J. Usha Raj, MD, MHA, FAPS, has been appointed as the editor-in-chief of the relaunched journal. Dr. Raj, a distinguished professor of pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, is a respected leader in the fields of pediatrics and neonatology. With a career spanning decades, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, aiming to attract cutting-edge research from global experts and to provide an exceptional experience for authors submitting to the journal.

Comprehensive Physiology will be a key resource for scholars studying the complex communication between organs, offering insights that could drive new approaches to understanding and treating diseases.
