APA reports significant increases in impact factors in its portfolio of journals -

The American Psychological Association (APA) has reported significant increases in impact factors in its portfolio of journals indexed in the 2012 Journal Citation Report (JCR), published by Thomson Reuters. In total, 76 percent of APA's publications received a 2012 impact factor.

APA's journals received 32 top 10 rankings in their respective categories across the JCR. Among them, Psychological Bulletin topped categories in both the Social Science (Psychology, Multidisciplinary) and Science (Psychology) JCR. Its impact factor of 15.575 is the highest among all journals in psychology.

Four of APA's journals received their first impact factor, including the Asian American Journal of Psychology (1.75), the International Journal of Stress Management (0.921), Personality Disorders: Theory, Research, and Treatment (3.54), and the Psychology of Violence (1.826).
