Aptean and CAS expand collaboration with biosequence chemical modifications solution -

Aptean, a provider of AI-powered enterprise software for industrial sectors, and CAS have expanded their collaboration to support life science patent research. The collaboration introduces a new Chemical Modifications module that combines Aptean GenomeQuest’s search experience with CAS biological sequence data.

The module enables users to detect a wide range of chemical modifications by combining exact positions, floating patterns, and filters based on the number of modification occurrences within a sequence. This approach is designed to cover the majority of relevant use cases and support the identification and review of patents across diverse biological modification patterns.

The expanded offering builds on the long-standing partnership between CAS and Aptean and allows customers to procure both the Chemical Modification module and CAS Biosequences directly through Aptean GenomeQuest.

Availability will follow a phased rollout, with beta access planned to begin in early January 2026 and a full launch expected by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
