Online submission system provider Aries Systems Corporation, US, has announced a collaboration and distribution agreement with Chinese company Asia Pacific Medinfo. The move is in response to the growing interest in the company's Editorial Manager peer-review system from Chinese publishers and authors.
Under the deal, Asia Pacific Medinfo will provide local support, training and configuration services with a focus on language localisation.
The Editorial Manager online submission system is used by more than 2,900 scholarly journals and processes tens of thousand of manuscripts per month. In March 2009, EMH Swiss Medical Publisher Ltd announced an agreement to deploy Aries' Editorial Manager online peer-review system to journals published by EMH. The project will begin with deployment of Editorial Manager to two of the publisher's leading journals - Swiss Medical Weekly (SMW) and Kardiovaskulare Medizin.
Also in the same month, the Sudanese Journal of Ophthalmology (SJO) selected the Editorial Manager peer-review system to enable authors, reviewers and editors to conveniently collaborate on research that will help address the ophthalmic problems of the region.
