ASM International and Silverchair have announced the launch of the ASM Digital Library on the Silverchair Platform. The ASM Digital Library offers a single gateway to ASM’s authoritative materials information resources.
ASM serves the materials research, reference, and education needs of engineers, scientists, and technicians. ASM serves by generating articles, books, databases, industry news, education courses, and international events on current engineering practices, accompanied by scientific research in the development, manufacturing, testing, modelling, and application of engineered materials.
The integrated ASM Digital Library offers flexible, modular access across content types, facilitated by advanced taxonomy-driven search, navigation, and linking features. Within the new ASM Digital Library, users may seamlessly move between content sets and discover the full value of ASM’s offerings, comprising more than 300,000 content items (articles, chapters, data sheets). The content from the ASM Handbook is now available on the Silverchair Platform and features Silverchair’s split-screen view for a superior user experience in referencing figures, tables, and more. ASM’s remaining content assets will migrate to the platform in 2019 and beyond.
