ASM International (ASM) and Silverchair Information Systems (Silverchair) have announced a partnership to develop a unified hosting solution for ASM's authoritative materials information resources.
ASM serves the materials research, reference, and education needs of engineers, scientists, and technicians through articles, books, databases, industry news, education courses, and international events on current engineering practices and scientific research in the development, manufacturing, testing, modelling, and application of engineered materials.
ASM's migration to the Silverchair Platform will create an integrated ASM Digital Library that offers flexible, modular access across content types, facilitated by advanced search, navigation, and linking features. On the new ASM Digital Library, users will be able to seamlessly move between content sets and discover the full value of ASM’s offerings, comprised of more than 300,000 content items (articles, chapters, data sheets) that will migrate to the Silverchair Platform.
The ASM Digital Library will launch in late 2018 with ASM Handbook content and additional content and products will be added in 2019 and going forward.
