Digital content services provider Ingram Digital, US, has announced that it has been selected by Berrett-Koehler, an independent publisher, to manage the conversion, storage and distribution of the publisher's digital assets.
The new agreement is an expansion of Berrett-Koehler's existing relationship with the Ingram content companies. Ingram Publisher Services, a full-service distributor for a roster of publishers, has been handling the physical distribution of Berrett-Koehler books since 2007. Ingram Digital's CoreSource allows Berrett-Koehler to distribute content and metadata to different vendors simultaneously, operating at the scale of much larger publishers.
CoreSource is a digital asset management platform providing publishers a flexible and cost-effective solution for managing complex content logistics with various partners. Ingram Digital facilitates the digitisation and storage of a publisher's assets in a range of formats including .epub, .pdf, .xml, cover images, multimedia files, digital audio books and print on demand files.
CoreSource enables publishers of all sizes to participate in the emerging digital marketplace, simultaneously distributing assets in the appropriate format with the appropriate metadata through multiple sales channels.
