The Big Ten Academic Alliance has announced the inclusion of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Southern California (USC), the University of Oregon, and the University of Washington into its esteemed consortium of leading research universities. This expansion underscores the Alliance's commitment to advancing academic excellence, fostering innovative collaborations, and serving the common good.
For over 65 years, the Big Ten Academic Alliance has been at the forefront of advancing academic missions, generating unique opportunities for students and faculty, and leveraging campus resources through collaborative programs. The addition of these four prestigious universities marks the Alliance's fourth expansion, following the inclusion of the University of Maryland and Rutgers University in 2013. This growth brings the total number of member institutions to 18, including a historic affiliation with the University of Chicago.
