Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced a new partnership with The Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine, to launch a new journal titled Journal of Intensive Care.
The Journal of Intensive Care is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine. It will publish peer-reviewed scientific articles in the field of intensive care medicine and related fields to fulfil the aim of the Society, namely 'planning the progress of intensive care medicine and related fields and, in addition, contributing to the development of science and culture'.
The journal aims to promote the international exchange of ideas and experience that draws from the different cultures in which practice takes place. As an open access journal, Journal of Intensive Care will facilitate greater dissemination and visibility outside Asia of the research published in the journal.
Dr. Satoshi Gando, Professor and Chairman of Division of Acute and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, Sapporo Japan, will serve as the Editor-in-Chief.
